Accounts Receivable Specialist

SUMMARY

We are a 24-year old business with a kind-atmosphere consisting of many long term team members, seeking an experienced part time Accounts Receivable specialist. In this role, you will work to ensure timely payments from 100+ clients monthly, develop workflows to streamline efficiency, and maintain Certificate of Insurance (COI) compliance in multiple online platforms. The right candidate will be comfortable communicating via phone and email with past due accounts, frequently update contact information in QBO.

JOB ROLE

Diligently track collection efforts and follow-up to ensure timely payment.
Monitor and take appropriate action to collect past-due receivables.
Maintain Certificate of Insurance (COI) compliance across multiple platforms.
Request new COI’s from multiple insurance providers and verify accuracy.
Manage customer setup process including billing and contact information in QBO.
Identify payment approval process for each client and leverage that information to get paid in a timely manner.
Associate’s degree in Accounting desired, but not required
3+ years of recent accounts receivable and customer service experience
Strong problem-solving skills
Organization and prioritization skills
Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment

Location: Raleigh, NC
Hours: Daytime 10AM - 3PM (20-25 hours weekly)
Associate’s degree in Accounting desired, but not required
